About Us

As the municipal Mayors of Shelby County, we believe emergency preparedness is a critical focus for our entire community. We wanted to do something to help residents of the County protect and equip themselves for emergency situations. We’ve joined forces and signed a proclamation to all work together on the following goals:

• Educate Shelby County residents on how to prepare for an emergency with specific attention given to the first 72 hours after an emergency; and
• Partner with public, private, faith-based, and non-profit sectors to share the guidelines and overall importance of emergency preparedness with Shelby County residents.

This web site is part of a public awareness and education campaign to provide a rallying cry that inspires everyone to take positive, simple steps towards being prepared. This Countywide campaign provides quick tips you can do to better prepare yourself, your family, your car, your workplace and even your pets for all kinds of emergencies.
